June My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway

Hello and welcome! This is the last peek at the June My Monthly Hero Kit before tomorrow's release at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We estimate June kits and add-ons will begin shipping on June 19. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work on restarting our operations in a safe manner and fulfilling orders already in-house. Now let's join Daniel for the final glimpse before the full reveal on Monday!

Hey everyone! What a great time to send encouraging cards to friends and essential workers to lift their spirits. The My Monthly Hero Kit for June 2020 includes some super fantastic fancy dies and nautical stamps. Uplifting sentiments like the one I used for today's countdown post come with all of this goodness, too. Every month, the kit leaves me gobsmacked. You get so much EVERY time!

For my card, I did some die cut layering to build a scene with Hero Hues cardstock in a red, white and blue color scheme: Nautical, Lapis, Cranberry and Dove White. All of the dies and sentiment come with the kit!

To begin, I die cut the mountains, tree line and lighthouse out. I stacked them on top a piece of white cardstock with Hero Arts Precision Glue. Then, I fussy-cut off the top of the white cardstock above the mountains, leaving the white showing in the details of the die cut behind the mountains. I also stacked an extra lighthouse die cut on the front for dimension.

Next, I adhered it all to the front of a 4.125 x 5.375" Lapis panel and stamped the sentiment, "You are a beacon of light," to the front using Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink. To finish off the card, I adhered it all to the front of a card base measuring 4.25 x 5.5". This leaves a very thin border around the design.

The dies this month, really make a showing here, but the Hero Hues cardstock colors really make a great presentation, too. I can't say enough about the luxury of this cardstock in both weight and color--it delights.

Thank you for joining me today for this countdown peek at the June 2020 My Monthly Hero Kit. I cannot wait to see your creations with this fantastic kit.
