Good morning everyone. It's Dana here with you today. Let's make a beautiful card doing some loose watercoloring on the Magnolia Branches Cover Plate . This cover plate makes one stunning card.

I started out the card by die cutting the Magnolia Branches Cover Plate using the new Luxe White Watercolor Paper . This paper is just perfect for easy watercoloring. For my color medium today I'm using Reactive Inks in Lemon Drop , Key Lime Fizz and Taffy . I'll also add in just a touch of Fresh Lawn Mid-tone Shadow Ink.
By using the packing I store my dies and stamps in, I placed some Lemon Drop Reactive Ink down and started watercoloring with a size 2 round point paint brush. Once I had the Lemon Drop ink color over the flowers, I wet down my panel by spritzing it with water to add in some of the Taffy ink with the Lemon Drop to get a great blend of color.
After I blended the colors to my liking, I heat set it before I went onto my branches. The branches were watercolored with Key Lime Fizz Reactive Ink and a touch of Fresh Lawn Mid-tone Shadow Ink. Yes you can watercolor with your Mid-tone inks. I just make sure to use it with my Reactive Inks.
Mixing the two green colors gives my branches a little more definition. To build up the panel, I die cut two more Magnolia Branches Cover Plates from Dove White cardstock and stacked them together ending with my colored panel on top. For a pop of color, I used Coral cardstock to place behind the watercolor panel before I placed everything onto a Side Folded Card . A simple sentiment from the new Creative Quotes stamp set in Intens-ified Black ink and a few Hero Hues Enamel Dots in Green finished off this card nicely.
