Masculine Birthday Card

Good morning and Happy 2022! Jess here with my first card for the year! I'm creating a card for the current Stay Crafty with Hero challenge: Circles and also stocking up on my birthday cards for the year!

To start I blended Cornflower, Navy, and Intens-ified Black Ink onto a panel of Periwinkle Cardstock using blending brushes. I applied the darkest color to my top left corner and faded out to the cardstock color by the bottom right. Then I used my MISTI to stamp the Circle Pattern Bold Prints cling stamp onto the panel with Contour Ink for a tone on tone design.

Next I die-cut the Happy Birthday die from the Birthday Stamp & Cut XL using the same Periwinkle Cardstock. I die-cut three and adhered them together with Liquid Precision Glue. Then I swiped my Embossing & Watermark Ink over the bottom of the die-cut and heat-embossed it with Brass Embossing Powder for a little metallic accent! Finally I stamped the rest of the sentiment from Birthday Stamp & Cut XL onto Nautical Cardstock with Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat-embossed it with the same Brass Embossing Powder. I trimmed it down to a thin label and then adhered both to my card panel. You could easily change out the colors of cardstock and ink and the sentiment label to create a ton of different looks and I hope this gives you some inspiration for our current challenge!

Don't forget to play along with the Stay Crafty with Hero challenge for a chance to win a $50 gift card to the Hero Arts store! You've got about a week to enter!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have an amazing day!

Such an excellent male birthday card! Let me just say I love that font on the die cut!

Hello, cardmaking friends! It’s Mona Tóth here, and I’m so happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog. Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...

Hello, crafty friend! I’m Adrienne Boese, better known online as Alice Scraps Wonderland. I love a good interactive scrapbook page! It can be something as simple as a pocket or something more intricate like a waterfall mechanism or flips. Today, we are going to focus on one of those simple techniques - a pocket!  It’s the perfect technique to dip your toes into the interactive...
