October My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #6 + Giveaway!

Hello and welcome! We’re back with our second post for the day, sharing more inspiration for using our October My Monthly Hero kit! I have to admit, when I first got my box containing the new kit, I was utterly overwhelmed by how much fun was packed into one kit! One of the first items I was drawn to, however, was the new Star Confetti Fancy Die add-on – I immediately began cutting sheets and sheets of paper with this panel, intrigued by all the different combinations I could get simply by switching the foreground and background papers.

However, I decided to keep it simple and elegant for today’s card. I die cut the background from vellum, and adhered it onto a panel of glittery white cardstock – you could always make your own white glittery cardstock by embossing an entire panel with the gorgeous Sparkle embossing powder.

For the focal point, I stamped and heat embossed in white some various little images from the stamp set. I did some partial die cutting to get a perfectly circular bottom using the Circle Infinity dies, and then handcut around the images (though they have coordinating dies ;))

I adhered the embossed circle to a slightly larger vellum circle, and adhered those to the base. Sweet and simple!

The starry background die is so versatile, and there’s another full-cover background add-on die that I can’t wait to play with – the Circle Confetti Fancy Die. What do you think of this new background die?
