Hi crafty friends! It's time for another Stay Crafty With Hero challenge! This month we are challenging you to make rainbow cards! We want to see all of your bright and colorful rainbow creations, whether they include a rainbow color scheme or actual rainbow imagery! We'll include all of the details further down this post; but first, here's a beautiful card from Ilina to kick off our newest challenge.
Hi everyone! I hope you are excited for this month's challenge as much as I am. I love everything rainbow, especially creating my own! And the new August products are perfect for doing so. For my card I used the Sun Flare Window Fancy Die to create my rainbow.
To make the card start by die cutting the Sun Flare Window Fancy Die from a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Pitch Black cardstock. Set aside the frame and discard the "rays" (or you can save them for different project). Next, die cut the same Sun Flare Window from six different colors of cardstock to create a rainbow. The cardstock colors I used are: Amethyst, Azalea, Papaya, Canary, Kiwi, Paradise and Lapis.
You have all the pieces and can start assembling the rainbow. Adhere the frame to printer paper (this way it's easier to trim the piece using a standard paper trimmer) and inlay the pieces in to create the rainbow. Once everything is adhered and the adhesive has dried trim about 1 1/2" from the top.
Adhere it to a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Dove White cardstock, lining it up to the top. On the bottom part in the white space stamp the sentiment from the Paper Hug Stamp & Cut XL set using Intens-ified Black ink.
To finish the card, adhere the panel to a Dove White Side Folded Card.
