Yappy Birthday Circle Card - Hero Arts

Yappy Birthday Circle Card

Hello there, Michelle here sharing a card using the new Birthday Paw-ty set. This is such a fun set and was very popular during the My Monthly Hero release. I can see why, it is so cute! I thought I would create a circle card using it today.

I started off by stamping my images on to white cardstock using Intens-ified Black Ink. I then coloured them using Copic Markers and die cut them out using the Birthday Paw-ty Frame Cuts and set them aside. I then took a piece of watercolour paper and die cut this with the 4th largest die in the Nesting Circle Infinity Dies set. Using a blending brush, I blended on Pool Party Reactive Ink to the center, blending out to white at the edges.

I splattered on some water and then patted it away with a dry cloth. I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Paw-ty set to the left hand side with more Intens-ified Black Ink. I die cut two larger circles from Hero Hues Paradise Premium Cardstock for the card base. On one piece I cut a small slither off of the bottom (to help the card stand up properly) and then scored a line at the top of the circle to use as a hinge to adhere it to the other circle which will be the front of the card.

I added the ink blended piece flat to the front and then the balloon and dog were added with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few black dots from the Neutrals Hero Hues Enamel Dots pack.

It's fun to create shaped cards occasionally, I should probably do it more often! Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful day!
