You Make a Difference

Hi! Today I'm playing along with our current Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge, which encourages you to think outside the box and use a product in a way that it wasn't necessarily intended. Can you tell which image I used to make the flower below?

It's a lemon from the Zest Wishes stamp set! I repeatedly stamped the image in a circle with Clear Embossing + Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I colored the flower using a water brush and a rainbow assortment of Reactive Inks. There is also a smaller lemon in the set, so you could make two different sizes of flowers!

I wanted to keep the card clean and simple, so I added a subtle dry embossed background using the Large Flower Stencil. The petal design is a perfect complement to the floral focal point.

I stamped a message from the HA + Pinkfresh Studio You Make A Difference stamp set. And added some Clear Enamel Dots for the finishing touch!

Reminder: Our "Out of the Box" challenge ends on Thursday, May 7th at 5:00pm PT and all the details can be found HERE.

So I guess when life gives you lemons...make a flower! ;)
