Cardmaking With Silly Santas

Hello! I’m Jen Kotas from Who Stole My Glitter and I’m happy to be here today to share two cards featuring the new Simon Hurley Silly Santas Stamp Set. I could not resist using as many of these adorable Santas as possible on each card.

Cardmaking With Silly Santas

To add more shading to the stamped images, I used one lighter ink and one darker one per image. First, stamp the entire image with lighter ink. Then, tap some of the darker ink on only to the bottom and back third or less of the image. Use a small blending brush to soften the harsh line left by the ink pad and stamp the image.

Cardmaking With Silly Santas

  1. Stamp all Santas included in the Silly Santas Stamp Set using light red ink.
  2. Stamp part of the stamp with a darker red ink as described above. Cut out with coordinating dies.
  3. Cut a panel to 3 1/4 x 8 1/4” and stamp the sentiment with dark red ink for the bottom line and lighter red for the top.
  4. Adhere the die cuts with thin foam squares, overlapping the images.
  5. Place the panel on a slimline card base with foam tape.
  6. Add red sequins throughout the card.

Cardmaking With Silly Santas

  1. Stamp three Santas plus “Ho Ho Ho” included in the Silly Santas Stamp Set using light green ink.
  2. Stamp part of the image with a darker green ink as described above. For “Ho Ho Ho, ink the bottom line in dark green, the middle half dark, half light, and the top light green only. Cut out with coordinating dies.
  3. Cut a panel of white cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4” and begin adhering Santas with thin foam squares.
  4. Die cut the words three extra times and adhere them together then add to the panel.
  5. Adhere the panel to an A2 card base with foam tape.
  6. Add green sequins across.
