You know how we love our Try Day Friday series! Each Friday afternoon on our Facebook page , we share a new technique with you LIVE. Isn't that so fun? This week Creative Director Kim Kesti is sharing with us a super cool double embossing technique. Not only is the card so super cute, but we loved how certain elements really pop. Isn't that just adorable? The colors are also so cheerful and bright - you're sure to bring a smile to anyone's face. Let's break down how Kim created this fun card and used the double embossing technique!
Our Geek Chic stamp set has a whole bunch of cute images and we picked a handful to add to our card. Each image has a corresponding color.
The images are scattered across the Whip Cream Cardstock , creating a pleasing pattern. So cool to be able to create anything you want!
Speaking of color, we've got Rich Coral , Lemon Drop , Beach Ball , Huckleberry Fusion , Tangerine Fusion and Turbo Teal . Gorgeous!
Now, we also sprinkled in a little surprise. Do you recognize it? Do you know what stamp set it's from? Yes, it's from our Chosen Family stamp set ! Cute addition, right?
Here's where the heat embossing comes in! On top of the stamped glasses, Kim stamped over them with the same stamp and Clear Pigment Ink !
Time for a nice coat of Journey Clear Heat Embossing Powder !
Of course a little heat is necessary. Melt that powder with the Journey Heat Gun and then do it again! You'll love the dimension that the glasses have. It's really just so neat!
