Quick and Simple Cards with Laurie Willison

Hello friends! It’s Laurie Willison here today with some quick and easy cards using the new Cardmaker Stamp Collection from Spellbinders. These new stamps are so much fun to work with. They include lots of fun images and tons of coordinating sentiments!

Stripes, Stripes, Stripes!

For my first card, I used Graceful Blooms and Simple Stripes.  If you follow me on social media…you know I adore stripes of all kinds. I want to put them on every card! So when I saw this fun little background, I knew I had to tuck it in behind these gorgeous blooms.  I stamped the background off to the side of the card in yellow ink and then stamped the large bloom image in black ink. I added color with Alcohol Makers by simply flicking color in each area. After fussy cutting the image, I added it to the card with foam tape. To finish off the card, I added a sentiment from the new set Day in the Park

Soda Can & a Straw!

The next card was made using the new set called Bubble Over. I love this set so much! It includes a die for the pop can and a straw die! I heat embossed the cans using silver embossing powder. On the first card, I used washi tape to mask off and blend in a rainbow of colors.  For the second card, I simply stamped in one of the images from the stamp set. After adding washi tape to the bottom and side of the card, I blended in a little blue ink and then popped the cans up on foam tape right in the middle. I added in the die-cut straws to finish off the card.

Playful Koalas

Last but not least, the Playful Koalas. This adorable set also comes with coordinating dies. I used the same masking technique with washi all around the card front. I blended in a sky and some grass. Next, I stamped the trees and colored them with alcohol markers. After stamping and die-cutting the rest of the images, I colored them and added them to the card front with foam tape for a little dimension. These cute little images were so fun to work with and so easy to color!

That is all I have for you today! I hope you enjoy today’s projects and find a little inspiration here.
