Scenic Snapshots Collection Inspiration | Seasonal Cards with Svitlana Shayevich

This is Svitlana from Craft Walks. I’m very excited to guest design here on the Spellbinders blog today. Today I want to share two cards featuring the Scenic Snapshots Collection.

ADVENTURE AWAITS

For my first card I used the Adventure Time Die Set along with the Santa’s Workshop Die Set (which coordinates with the Scenic Snapshots Collection).

I started making my card by die-cutting all elements for it. I die-cut the “starry sky” out of a dark blue cardstock using dies from the Santa’s Workshop Die Set. All other elements I die cut using dies from the Adventure Time Die Set. I was die-cutting out of different colored cardstock. You can also use a white cardstock for die cutting and color die cuts with any color media.

After I die cut all elements I started assembling the card. First I took a kraft card base and foam mounted a white panel onto it.

Next I adhered the “starry sky”, one mountain, pine tree, “ground” and campfire onto the card. The next layer of elements (another mountain and the tent) I popped up using dimensional adhesive.

To finish off the card I adhered the Adventure die cut below the scene and popped up another part of the phrase white embossed onto a red strip.

HARVESTIME

I used the Harvestime Die Set for my second card. This set is so fitting the current season, very fallish, harvesty and cozy.

I started by die-cutting the scene base out of a light blue cardstock using a die from the Santa’s Workshop Die Set. Then I die cut the scene elements out of red, white, green, yellow, orange, brown cardstock and adhered then onto the light blue base forming the fall scene.

Then I made a panel by embossing a red panel with the Cozy Knit Embossing Folder. After that I foam mounted it onto a white card base.

Lastly I foam mounted the fall scene onto the card and adhered a sentiment under it to finish off the card.
