Stocking Mini Album with Elena

Hello everyone! First of all I would like to wish you a Happy and a prosperous New 2018 Year. I hope it will be filled with amazing events . This is Elena on the blog and I am sure that you spend your Holidays with your family friends. It’s a good occasion to take the photos, that you can look through the next year. But the best way is to scrapbook them.

I love creating mini albums for such occasions, when the whole family meets together and it’s so wonderful to keep those memories in your albums. That is why I made this Stocking Mini Album in advance as I am planning to present it to our friends.

I didn’t want to add any winter related dies for my mini, so I chose classic Spellbinders dies. For my cover I used my old sweater, I covered the acrylic Stocking mini album shape with it. My idea was to make something classy and elegant, so I die cut Twirling Vines from the gold cardstock. It is so eye-catching that I’ve only added the pearl brooch on the top of my die cut and a ribbon bow. Just a tip for you – since I used fabric for my cover, it was not so easy to adhere the die cut. So as an option you can use any adhesive tape or the sheets before you die cut. It will help you to escape any glue  traces and will fix the die cut on the fabric.

Only few touches of bling – the rhinestones and the pearls on the top. I think it’s a good option to use the vines dies when you want to achieve a classic look for your projects, even though you’re working on a Christmas or a Winter project.

I also used another kind of classic die – from the Chantilly Paper Lace collection – Eliza Lace Corners. I used the same gold cardstock and die cut few corners. However I didn’t placed them as I would done for this kind of corners dies, but I played a bit with their shape to embellish the  pages inside my mini.

These corners are so versatile to use. They remind me the part of the oval frames, and they are always good to use them for your family albums. So I hope you have discovered some new ideas that you can incorporate into your scrapbooking pages or mini albums. Just give them a try and I am sure you will be happy to keep these holiday memories in your projects.
