Three Techniques Using Dina Wakley Collaged Birds

Hello! Jen Kotas is here today with three cards featuring the Dina Wakley Collaged Birds Collection. This collection includes two embossing folders, two registration press plates sets and a set with many press plate sentiments. I decided to combine hot foiling and impressing with the registration press plates and I love how they turned out. Remember to use BetterPress Cotton Card Panels for your foiling if you are combining it with the BetterPress System. I would also suggest hot foiling first because in my experience I’m more likely to need to redo foiling than impressing. Three Techniques Using Dina Wakley Collaged Birds, BP-271, BPR-024, E3D-123
  1. Line up the registration template for the Collaged Birds Registration Plates over an A2 Porcelain BetterPress Cotton Card Panel with the wrong side facing front. Slip the Splatter Plate between the two, upside down and lined up with the registration lines. Tape it in place to make a hinge.
  2. Place Aura Hot Foil Roll under the plate, double-check that the plate stayed in place and hot foil.
  3. Impress the Script Remnant Plate lined up with the registration lines with Laurel, Teal Topaz and Spruce BetterPress Inks. Tap a tiny bit of the darker colors in the lighter ones for some added interest.
  4. Impress the Bird Outlines with Black BetterPress Ink. Cut out with coordinating dies.
  5. Emboss the panel with the Soaring 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere to an A2 card base.
  6. Use the registration template to place the birds with liquid glue.
  7. Hot foil sentiments from the Holding Your Heart Sentiments Press Plate and Dies Set with Aura Hot Foil Roll. Cut out with coordinating dies. Adhere to card with foam strips.
