Using Pattern Paper on Cards with the Oh Joyful Day Card Making Kit

Hello! Jen Kotas here today with three cards featuring the Oh Joyful Day Card Making Kit. The kit includes pattern paper, chipboard embellishments, a clear sticker pack and button embellishments. You could create all of your holiday cards with just this one kit! Using Pattern Paper on Cards with the Oh Joyful Day Card Making Kit I used the pattern papers from Oh Joyful Day 6x6" Designer Paper Pad on these cards as if they were solid or stamped cardstock. I’m not a frequent pattern paper user so keeping this in mind helped me use them on these three cards. Using Pattern Paper on Cards with the Oh Joyful Day Card Making Kit, RBD-007 I used two pieces of pattern paper with subtle patterns throughout to keep my card from being too busy. I then adhered pieces from the Oh Joyful Day Cardstock Diecut Ephemera Pack to the paper for a custom background. Before the Oh Joyful Day Chipboard Embellishments sentiment was placed I added the ‘25’ sticker to the ‘O’ and finished with a sub-sentiment from Oh Joyful Day Clear Sticker Pack under the chipboard. Using Pattern Paper on Cards with the Oh Joyful Day Card Making Kit, RBD-007 I chose the boldest pattern paper for the background. The most solid piece was used for the piece cut from the Nested Tree Frame Etched Die Set. Tone on tone patterns can take the place of solid-colored cardstock with a bit more interest. The tiniest pattern was placed behind the diecut mice. Using Pattern Paper on Cards with the Oh Joyful Day Card Making Kit, RBD-007 I used the fun Oh Joyful Day Button Embellishment to finish off the center of this swag created with the diecut ephemera pack. The background pattern paper is just busy enough to add style without distracting from the button, die cuts or sentiment. The colors of the stars match up with the colors in the chipboard and diecut pieces.
