Adding Texture to Your Shaker Card Using Bold Prints

Hi crafty friends! Natasha Polite here sharing a a fun shaker card using the June Cling Stamp of the Month which is one of the Monthly Minis from the NEW Hero Studio program. Hopefully you have had a chance to see all that the Hero Studio has to offer and that there is something there that you love!

To begin, I grabbed Dove White cardstock and Reactive Inks in the colors Blue Raspberry, Berry Smoothie, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, and Splash. Cutting the cardstock down, I created an A2 panel and ink blended these colors. Once complete, I sprayed White Iridescent Shimmer Mist to give a little sparkle while activating the inks.

This shaker card requires a clear card panel. I placed that inside my MISTI and stamped the Circling Texture Bold Prints (June Cling Stamp of the Month) onto the panel using watermark ink and clear embossing powder. This creates the look of dry embossing with a stencil or embossing folder onto the clear acetate.

Once that was complete, I also stamped onto Dove White cardstock with Intens-ified Black ink. I then used the first and second largest Rounded Rectangle Infinity Dies to create a frame that will outline the entire card panel. Removing all of the clear sequins from the Winter Sequins Mix, I was now ready to assemble the shaker card. I used foam strips to adhere the embossed acetate over the rainbow ink blended panel, placing the sequins inside before securing everything. I then used Precision Glue to adhere the stamped frame over the acetate layer. Since the corners of the frame are rounded, I clipped the square corners behind it.

Using Pitch Black cardstock and the remainder of the black and white stamped panel used for the frame, I die cut the Luggage Lowercase Alphabet Fancy Dies to spell hugs. I offset these letters and popped them onto the card panel. The subsentiment from the Encouragement Sentiment Strips is heat embossed onto Pitch Black cardstock White Detail embossing powder and die cut using the Sentiment Strips Fancy Die.

I hope this card inspires you to grab the June Cling Stamp of the Month, while supplies last, and add texture to your projects. Using different mediums and colors with your Bold Prints can stretch your stash even further by producing various looks.

Happy crafting,
