Today we're delighted to have Debi Adams here to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for a few of the add-ons.

Happy Wednesday friends! So thrilled to be here today sharing some new designs by Hero Arts for what I hope brings you a bright and new beginning to the new year. Both of the cards featured today are colorful and uplifting, something I think we can all use a lot more of these days. Each one has its own style, technique and unique appeal so that everyone has a place to create. And better yet, they are EASY!

"You’re My Sunshine" is a stenciled card that is a one and done! (Well actually it is a two step but you get the message.) I laid down the Flourish Sun Stencil and simply used a blending brush to embellish it with Lemon Drop, Creamsicle, Taffy, Pool Party and Green Apple Reactive Inks. I stamped the sentiment into the middle and it was finished. Doesn’t get easier than that and so fun! Think of all the color combos that could work here! I have to admit I played with this stencil way longer than this one card because there are a lot of ways to work it.

"Just Because" uses the Tree with Roots Fancy Die, cut from Dove White cardstock, and colored in with various Copic markers. I felt like a kid again. Remember those big box of crayons and you would draw rainbows for hours? Yep, that! And can I just say how much I LOVE this tree! Those Hero Art artists are just amazing! The tree was set on top of some scraps of rainbow-colored cardstock and a sentiment "just because" was stamped in Intense Black ink onto the top-folded Dove White card base. Ok, so like, who wouldn’t like to get a "happy-I’m-thinking-about-you-just-because" card? I want to challenge you to make someone’s day, one card at a time.

And that’s it from me today. Short on words but long on creating because it’s such a great place to be. Be well my friends.

XO,

Awesome cards Debi, my favorite is the card with the tree. Love the colours.
Thank you so much for sharing. stay safe and have a wonderful weekend.

Henriëtte M.,

Loved these cards when Libby showed them on FB live! Colors are wonderful and the design with the tree is gorgeous!

Barbara-Jean Kubik,

Love the cards you made with the add-ons, Debi. The Tree with Roots card is my favorite. I’d love to see a video about how you colored that tree. I know you used Copics but, when I look at the tree, it almost looks like you used water colors and I’m just not sure how to achieve that beautiful look.

Michele Whalen,

The tree is especially GORGEOUS!! You really showed off these stamps and dies well…all of them.

sharon gullikson,

Gorgeous cards, I love the tree and backgrounds. These add ons are terrific!

Hello, cardmaking friends! It’s Mona Tóth here, and I’m so happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog. Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...

Hello, crafty friend! I’m Adrienne Boese, better known online as Alice Scraps Wonderland. I love a good interactive scrapbook page! It can be something as simple as a pocket or something more intricate like a waterfall mechanism or flips. Today, we are going to focus on one of those simple techniques - a pocket!  It’s the perfect technique to dip your toes into the interactive...
