Today Creative Team member Ilina Crouse is going to share some fabulous “beyond the kit” ideas for a few of the add-ons. Take it away, Ilina...

Hi everyone, I hope you enjoyed all the projects with the new July My Monthly Hero kit that were shared here on the blog during the last several days. But there is more. For today I have two cards using two of my favorite sets from this month's release -- County Fair Pig and Ornate Carousel.

First I am sharing the little piggy card. This image is my favorite from the set, so I had to use it. To make the card start by stamping the image using Intense Black Ink onto alcohol friendly card stock. Color it using Copic markers or any other coloring medium of your choice and die cut it using the coordinating dies. Set it aside. Cut a panel from Pool Layering Paper measuring 3 3/4" x 5" and die cut a window using the Clouds Infinity Dies. Die cut several smaller clouds from vellum.

Stamp the sentiment onto Black Layering Paper with Versamark and emboss it with White embossing powder. Cut to size. Assemble the card and add some Ocean Mix and Champagne sequins to finish off the card.

Next up is a card using the Ornate Carousel. To make this card start by stamping the images onto alcohol marker friendly card stock using Intense Black Ink and color the images. Die cut them using the coordinating dies and set them aside. Cut a panel from Snow Layering Paper measuring 3 3/4" x 5" and die cut a circle in the middle using the Circle Infinity Dies. Stamp "Happy Birthday" on the bottom using the Intense Black Ink.

Cut panel measuring 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" from Sunshine Layering Papers and stamp the County Fair Bold Prints with Butter Bar Ink. Assemble the panel and adhere to a Black Folded Notecard. Add Champagne sequins to finish it off.

A reminder for all My Monthly Hero subscribers: You have the opportunity to add extra items, including but not limited to add-ons, to your kit shipments with no additional shipping charges. Simply log in to your account and place your order by tomorrow (Thursday, June 5 at 11:59am PT) to take advantage of this offer.

Happy stamping!
