Today we're delighted to have Creative Team member Jayne Nelson here to share some fabulous "beyond the kit" ideas for a few of the add-ons.

This month’s collection of add-on products is full of beautiful designs that can be used to create holiday cards and to embellish holiday envelopes or packages. Today, I’m sharing a pair of cards, with similar color palettes, using a few of my favorite items from this release.

For my first card, using several blending brushes , I began by inking over the new Mixed Frame Stencil onto a piece of Dove White cardstock with Blue Raspberry , Blue Hawaii , and Grape Slush Reactive inks. After removing the stencil, I lightly applied more ink over the white portions of the panel. Before securing the panel to the card, I splattered the inked panel with water for a snowfall effect.

For the card’s focal point, I stamped, die-cut, and colored an adorable bear image from the delightful Winter Mail Critters Bundle . Using foam tape, I secured it to a Paradise circle that I cut with a Nesting Circle Infinity Die and then stamped with snowflakes using Paradise ink. After securing the circle to the card front, I added two sentiment strips that I stamped with a message from the Winter Town Cheer set and I ntens-ified Black ink. To finish the card, I die-cut three, gold stars, using the smallest 5-Point Stars Infinity Die , from the Glitter Paper Holiday Sparkle pack and then glued them to the card with Precision Glue .

For my second card, I started by inking a masked rectangle onto white cardstock with Blue Raspberry, Blue Hawaii and Grape Slush inks. Then, I secured the inked panel to an Iris card base. Using the charming Winter Town Cheer Bundle , I stamped and die-cut four colorful houses with Orchid , Bermuda , Amethyst , and Summer Sky . After securing the houses across the card with foam tape, I added a pair of sentiments and some gold embellishments.

First, I stamped and embossed a sentiment onto an Iris strip with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink and White Embossing Powder . I glued the sentiment below the houses along the edge of the inked background. I also stamped a sentiment, with Amethyst ink, above the houses. To finish the card, I die-cut a gold moon and a trio of small, gold hearts, with the Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies , and then glued them to the card above the chimneys.
