Bear Hugs!

Welcome crafty friends! It's Mindy with you today to share inspiration using the new Bear Hugs Stamp & Cut. I set my bears in an outdoor scene to really give you the woodsy feel sitting right from the comfort of your home!

Since the stamp image gives the outline of the mama bear and her cub, there are many ways to color in the image. The easiest way would be to stamp on colored cardstock or ink blend on white cardstock, like I did here.

I started by stamping the image in Intens-ified Black ink and once the ink is dry, I ink blended on Sand and Cup O' Joe inks using a blending brush.

TIP: To speed up the drying process of your Intens-ified Black ink, you can heat it with a heat tool so your ink doesn't smear.

Then I used the coordinating die to cut out the images.

To create the woodsy feel, I used the trees from the Bear Family Fancy Dies. I die cut the tree line from Kiwi, Meadow and Pine Hero Hues Premium Cardstock. I added ink blending to the tops of the trees to add dimension and give it a little bit more separation.

For the Pine cardstock I blended with Pine & Intens-ified Black ink; for the Meadow I used Pine ink as well; and for Kiwi I used Green Hills ink.

Before I glued anything down, I took a piece of Deluxe Smooth White cardstock and ink blended on Summer Sky ink. You can ever-so-slightly see some clouds in the background that I added with the Cloud Pattern Stencil.

I stamped a sentiment from the Bear Hugs set onto my background and then I could start adhering my trees by staggering them down the front of the card.

I finished off the scene by die cutting a window using an Oval Infinity Die and white cardstock.

You can just smell the trees and the fresh air through the card can't you?

Hope you enjoyed today's inspiration! Thanks for spending time with me today.

Great card! Ink blending to color the bears looks really good. So much easier than alcohol markers. Definitely trying that.
