Beautiful World in Reactive Ink Watercolor

Hello there! One of my very favorite My Monthly Hero add-ons this month is the Beautiful World stamp set. This gorgeous image was just begging to be watercolored. For a simple, yet stunning watercolor effect I love to use Reactive Inks! These versatile inks are super easy to apply with a small paintbrush, water brush, etc.

To create the one layer design, the Beautiful World image and two phrases were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder.

Reactive Inks were pressed onto a glass work mat and applied with a Water Flow Brush.

The following Reactive Ink color combinations were used for the earth/floral images:

Earth water: Splash, Blue Hawaii

Earth land: Green Apple, Blue Raspberry

Roses: Taffy, Fruit Punch

Leaves: Key Lime Fizz, Green Apple

Small flowers: Lemon Drop, Creamsicle

Background: Pool Party

After the images were colored, the background was watercolored with Pool Party Reactive Ink for the embossed resist of the sentiments and to make the earth really pop!

Thank you so much for joining me today!

How to make a Polar Bear Christmas Card with Alcohol Markers

Hello, cardmaking friends! It’s Mona Tóth here, and I’m so happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog. Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...

Hello, crafty friend! I’m Adrienne Boese, better known online as Alice Scraps Wonderland. I love a good interactive scrapbook page! It can be something as simple as a pocket or something more intricate like a waterfall mechanism or flips. Today, we are going to focus on one of those simple techniques - a pocket!  It’s the perfect technique to dip your toes into the interactive...
