Envelope Full of Hugs + Kisses

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so today I'm sharing card idea using the Love Note Pair Fancy Dies. The package comes with two envelope dies -- one that makes a regular envelope and one that creates a cute heart scallop like on my card today.

I started out by creating a background with watercolor paints. I used painter's tape to create a thin border around a piece of watercolor paper and adhered it to a hard surface. Then I completely wet the paper and painted the background using various pink and orange paints. Once it was dry, I adhered it to a Black Folded Card.

Next, I die cut the envelope from vellum and adhered it to my card base using clear foam tape. Then I die cut some X's and O's from gold paper using the Luggage Tag Alphabet Dies. I think the envelope made from vellum adds a fun touch since you can see what's inside!

I stamped the "sending you hugs" message from the Hello Stamp + Cut set below the envelope and added a few of the small hearts from that same set using Rose Madder ink.

These Love Note Dies make such a cute accent for a card -- I think an envelope filled with confetti for a birthday card would be super fun!

Have a great day!

I love it. The sad part about it I have the envelop die & an envelop maker but didn’t look at using them the way you did. I can’t wait to try it with vellium. Since I worked for the USPS anytime that encourages mail I am on board.
