Gingerbread House Scene Card

Hello stampers! I adore scene cards and little scenes are one of my favorites. The Gingerbread House Stamp & Cut is the focal point of this holiday-themed scene card.

Picket Fence Distress Paint was flicked over gray cardstock with a small paintbrush and set aside to completely dry. Once dry, snowflakes from the Gingerbread Stamp & Cut and trees from the Home For the Holidays stamp set were stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder.

A 1 1/4" x 5 1/2" strip of white cardstock was adhered along the bottom edge of the gray sky background. A sentiment from the Gingerbread House Stamp & Cut was stamped with Intense Black Ink along the white border.

The two Gingerbread House Stamp & Cut houses and the gingerbread men were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Intense Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut the images before adhering them to the scene with foam adhesive squares for a bit of dimension.

The Copic Markers used for the images:

Browns: E55, E57, E59

Reds: R35, R37, R89

Greens: YG21, YG23, YG17

Yellows: Y11, Y08

Grays: C4, C7

Additional trees from the Gingerbread House Stamp & Cut were stamped on gray cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder and adhered with foam adhesive squares.

The card was finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard on the gingerbread house windows and additional drops were scattered throughout the sky.

Hope this has inspired you to try creating your own holiday scene cards with Hero Arts stamps!

I love scene cards. I’ll have to rethink some if my stamps how I can incorporate a scene. I like the trees too done on gray paper embossed in white.

LOVE the looks of this card – seems warm and cozy even if in the snow.
