January My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #5 + Giveaway!

MMH Countdown to Creativity

We are back with another look at the January My Monthly Hero release! The kit will be available on Monday, January 9th at 1pm eastern/10am pacific. We’ll be sharing ideas for using the main kit and the optional add-on products all weekend long, so stay tuned for more inspiration! Now let’s join Yana, who is sharing a simple Valentine’s Day card with a bold stamped background!

Sending You Love Card by Yana Smakula for Hero Arts

I love to stamp custom backgrounds for my cards and I often use sentiment stamps for this. The “Love You” stamp from the Sealed with a Kiss add-on set is perfect in size to create a background for an A2 card. I used Hero Arts Charcoal ink and stamped “Love You” repeatedly and at an angle to cover the entire front of a card.

To create a focal point for my project I stamped and die-cut a heart from the main kit; I used Bubble Gum and Crimson inks. I wrapped natural twine three times around the card front and tied it into a bow before foam mounting the heart.

I also stamped and die-cut a tiny flower along with several leaves and foam mounted a simple “Sending You Love” sentiment from the Love Notes set. Lastly, I adhered several clear droplets to complete this project.

January My Monthly Hero Kit is perfect for creating Love & Valentine’s Day cards and little notes as well as stunning feminine projects. I see myself using it throughout the year for elegant Birthday and Thank You cards.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, January 9, before the kit launches at 1 pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Have fun stamping!
