Let's Party Birthday Card With Silhouette Animals

Birthday cards are always fun to make and Hero's Birthday Animal Silhouettes stamp set makes it a very easy task!

Let's Party Birthday Card by Yana Smakula for Hero Arts

To create card I'm sharing in today's post I first stamped a yellow plaid background using the Picnic Blanket Bold Prints background stamp and Butter Bar ink pad onto a 4 x 5 1/4" cardstock panel and adhered it onto my A2 card base. Next, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock on diagonal and foam mounted it covering up a part of the background.

To stamp the animals I used Soft Granite to Black Ombre and Spring Brights Ombre inks. You can stamp these using your regular ink pads but using ombre adds a bit more interest and dimension to these critters.

I cut my images out using coordinating dies and foam mounted onto the card. I also stamped several balloons using 3 sections from the Spring Brights ombre pad as well as Rose Madder and Butter Bar inks, cut them out and foam mounted onto my card.

To create a sentiment, Let's Party, I heat embossed it in white embossing powder onto black cardstock strip and foam mounted over the animals. I also added a bit of black stamping directly onto my card and drew in balloon strings using a black pen.

Have fun stamping!
