Hey everyone. It's Dana here with you today. It's almost time to ring in the New Year. Let's welcome in 2024 with some fireworks.
To create this card, I started with a piece of Pine cardstock. This is such a beautiful green color for the holidays. Next it was time to make some fireworks. Using the new Sparkling Fireworks Bold Prints, I stamped the design in Embossing and Watermark Ink and sprinkled on Gold Embossing powder.
Once the embossing was cooled, using my Hero Arts Medium Blending Brush, I added color around the edges with Pitch Black ink. I loved doing this as it gives a richness to the card. Now it was time to add the numbers and sentiment.
For my numbers I used the Number Two, Number Zero and Number Four Fancy Dies and die cut them from Pine cardstock. I also die cut them from Glitter Holiday Cardstock in gold. For a festive feel for my numbers, I added embossing ink and gold embossing powder to just the lower portion of the numbers and heat set. For my sentiment I used the Winter Foliage stamp set. The sentiment was stamped in embossing ink and heat set with gold embossing powder.
To complete the card, the festive fireworks panel was adhered to a Side Folded Card with Precision Glue. The numbers were layered with a slight offset on the matching gold number. I love this look. For just a little bit more sparkle, I applied a shimmer pen to the top portions of the numbers. Also a a few matte gold gems were added to the centers of a few of the fireworks. And finally the sentiment was placed between the number. Such a fun and festive card!
