Hello there! Nichol here today with a Lucky Star love-themed card to share with you. By using some pinks and reds for both my coloring and the background, this design works perfectly for a Valentine's or love-themed occasion.
The Star Light Star Bright Bold Prints background was inked with Cotton Candy, Bubble Gum, and Rose Madder inks and stamped on smooth white cardstock. I stamped the background several times to get the full coverage. I love that the shades of pink ink, when framed by a heart die cut opening, reinforce the feeling of love of the design.
Constellations from the Lucky Star Stamp Set were stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.
A Nesting Hearts Infinity Die was die cut from a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of smooth white cardstock. Stars from the Lucky Star Stamp Set were stamped on the upper two thirds of the frame using Cotton Candy and Bubble Gum Inks. A sentiment from the Lucky Star Stamp Set was masked and stamped with Rose Madder and Charcoal inks along the bottom as shown. The frame was popped up over the background with foam adhesive squares.
The boy and girl image, cat, and dot from the Lucky Star Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Intense Black Ink and colored in with the following Copic Marker color combinations:
Skin: E00, E11, E13, RV10
Blond Hair: YR30, YR31, YR24
Light Brown Hair: E53, E55, E57
Dress: RV10, RV55, RV66
Shirt: R35, R37, R39
Shorts: B34, B37, B39
Shoes: C00, C1, C4, C7
Cat: C1, C4, C7, R00
Dog: E55, E57, C00, C1, R00
The images were die cut with the coordinating Lucky Star Frame Cuts dies and adhered along the bottom edge of the heart frame.
The moon and star were finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard for a sparkly, clear finish. A white opaque pen was used to add detail to the girl's dress and highlights to the stamped images.
