March My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #1 + Giveaway

Hello and welcome as we begin the countdown to the release of the March My Monthly Hero Kit! Release day is Monday, March 2 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We will be here all weekend long, sharing inspiration before the launch on Monday. In case you didn't see yesterday's message, this month we will start shipping our kits and add-ons on March 16 due some supplier delays. We know you are excited to get your kit and we will work to ship earlier if possible. Thank you for your wonderful patronage and patience.

Now here's Jess for the first look at this beautiful "HeroScapes in Bloom" kit!

Hello, Jess here and I am so excited to share this month's kit with you!! I am Japanese so when I saw the theme of the kit I fell head over heels! :)

I lived in Japan for several years of my childhood and I distinctly remember cherry blossom season and the beautiful pink blossoms that fell like snow for days! So I kept my card pretty traditional and tried to recreate that! To start I stamped the grass layers onto Hero Hues Dove White cardstock using Lime Green and Fresh Lawn ink. The set is designed to leave those little rocks among the grass! Then I stamped my tree trunk and the sentiment using Intens-ified Black ink.

Next I stamped the tree layers using Ultra Pink and Rose Madder ink. Then I inked the petals with the lighter ink and rolled the edges of the stamp in the darker ink for some variation in the petals. I stamped them once and stamped them again to get that lighter second generation stamping. Next I blended around the edges of the panel with Cotton Candy and Ultra Pink ink. Finally I trimmed the panel down to 4" by 5.25" and adhered it to a Hero Hues Dove White Top-Folded card base to finish the card! I love this scene so much! I just want to hop on a plane and go sit underneath a cherry tree with a picnic lunch! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have an amazing day!

Sidekickcards,

There is something very serene about your card. It’s not just the stamps, which I love, but maybe the pink sky. Whatever it is, I love it!

Sharon Watson,

Cherry Blossom Season licked and loaded

Suzanne,

love the stones in this beautiful walk way…Already have the tulip and lavendar fields still searching for the sunflowers
