May My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #4 + Giveaway

It's time for our fourth countdown peek! The May My Monthly Hero kit will be available on Monday, May 4 at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. Now let's join Janette for another look at this uplifting kit!

Hello, Hero friends! I have had so much fun creating with all the happiness included in this month's kit! It is a ray of sunshine, to be sure!

To recreate this project, or something like it, stamp all images in Intens-ified Black ink on Smooth Bristol cardstock. Color images with watercolor brush markers. Set aside to dry.

Ink blend Navy around the perimeter of a scant 4" x 5 1/4" Dove White cardstock panel. Extend blending with Neon Blue just beyond the Navy to a white center creating a glow effect.

Fussy cut images and adhere to card panel, popping up a few for added dimension. Stamp sentiment in Intense-ified Black and adhere completed panel to folded card base.

This month's kit contains some fabulous adornments for envelopes, and envelopes too! I took a risk on my own and used the darling little snail mail stamp as a wax stamp. I melted a few wax beads in blue and green, and believe it or not - white, together and poured them onto the envelope. Gently drop in the snail stamp while wax is hot and center, if necessary. Allow wax to cool and then gently peel out stamp. Some wax colors, like ink, will stain the stamp. Staining is cosmetic only and does not affect stamp performance. My stamp is still in amazing shape and works perfectly with ink, but this was only my result and is not a recommended use of the high quality photopolymer stamps Hero Arts offers. If you give it a go, please do so at your own risk!

*** Win a kit before you can buy it *** Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, May 4, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Last, I encourage you to give sunshine-inducing, happiness-filled projects you've created to friends, loved ones, neighbors, delivery folks, those who may live alone or anyone who could use an uplift.

Warm hugs,

Love the vibrant background. Looks like the plane if flying out of the clouds. Can’t wait to get the set and make a card for my son-in law who flies a little yellow plane.

Nancy Pearce,

I can think of a few people who might lovevthis card

Mairi,

Love the combination of the plane, rainbow and sky. Beautiful bold colors, too!
