Mini Mailer Fancy Die

Good morning, Jess here with a project showing you how to make a gift card a little extra special! I love the new Mini Mailer Fancy die as it’s the perfect size and shape to hold a standard-sized gift card and I love customizing gift card holders to match the enclosed gift card!Customizing the Mini Note Mailer by Jessica Frost-Ballas for Hero Arts

I found this bright and cheery gift card a few weeks ago and thought it would be fun to make a coordinating gift card holder using the Mini Mailer Fancy die.

I started by die-cutting the Mini Mailer Fancy die from Snow Layering paper. Then I stamped the Star garland from Sparkle Borders across the die with Intense Black ink and then colored them with colored pencils to match the gift card. Then I stamped the individual stars and colored them with metallic gold paint. Finally I stamped the sentiment from Acts of Kindness with Versamark and heat-embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder.

The Mini Mailer Fancy die has a notch so that you can easily close the envelope by tucking the rounded tab into the notch and I add a little removable adhesive to the back of the gift card before closing it up so that it won’t slide out of the open sides. You can either give the gift card just like that or you can attach it to the front of a card or to the top of a gift. I like to decorate the entire gift card holder so I prefer to give it as is without attaching it to a card. I hope this gives you some ideas on how to fancy up a simple gift card holder! Thanks so much for visiting and have a great day!
