Modern Valentine - Hero Arts

Modern Valentine

Hello there, Michelle here today to share a "Love You" card using products from the January 2023 My Monthly Hero release. Let me share a secret with you...I am not a huge fan of Valentine's Day cards. I like when other people make them, but I am not a huge fan of making them myself. Having said that, a lot of Valentine's Day products can be used all year round for other occasions, and I LOVE that!

So, my card today uses a non-traditional Valentine's color palette, but could be used all year round to send to a loved one. I started off by foiling the Hearts Hot Foil Plate on to white cardstock using black foil and the Glimmer Hot Foil System. I cut the panel down and mounted it to a panel of Glitter Paper Fall in the Copper shade.

I love how the glitter paper just peeks out from the left hand side! Both were then adhered to an A2 card base, made from Pitch Black cardstock, with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment from You're Mine on to white cardstock. I first stamped with Intens-ified Black ink and then Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink over the top.

I applied Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. It was die cut using the coordinating Frame Cuts. I cut an additional four layers from white cardstock so that I could stack them up before adhering to the card with Precision Glue. I finished off by die cutting the smallest heart from the Hearts Infinity Dies from the same copper glitter paper and adhering that below the sentiment.

I really like the color combination of black, white and copper with that added sparkle from the glitter paper. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!
