October My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #2 + Giveaway!

MMH Countdown to Creativity

We’re back with our second post for the day, sharing more inspiration for using our October My Monthly Hero kit! We’ll be posting all weekend long – leading up to the kit launch on Monday, October 3 at 1 pm eastern/10 am pacific. Let’s see what Amy made with this month’s kit!

This month’s My Monthly Hero is incredible. The main kit is chock full of supplies, check out how it inspired me:

I couldn’t wait to make a shaker card. Let’s start at the bottom and work our way to the top of the card. I stamped my snowy town scenery on a watercolor paper panel. The houses have been heat embossed with Detail Black Embossing Powder. The evergreen trees are stamped with Forever Green and Field Greens Shadow Ink.

I watercolored the background in blue and waited for it to dry thoroughly before stamping the snow in VersaMark and using White Embossing Powder.

I die cut the snowglobe on a panel from Kelly's Designer Paper. On Snow Layering Paper I stamped out the sentiment in Forever Green and adhered it to the inside of the window. I then backed the die cut window with a trimmed acetate sheet from the kit. That means that the sentiment is on the exterior of the shaker so it doesn’t restrict the shaker.

I adhered the scenery panel onto my card base and used foam adhesive to build up my shaker card. I filled that portion with the Buttons Galore Shaker Mix and then laid my top panel down. I finished off the front panel with a stamped + die cut snowglobe base in Kraft.

I wish you could hear the shaker in action!

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, October 3, before the kit launches at 1 pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Thanks so much for stoppin’ by!
