I rarely use a stencil on my cards. That doesn't mean I don't like the effect of stencils. Ever since I saw Mariana's amazing cards made with Waves Stencil, I've wanted to give it a try myself. Then here is what I came up with:
I placed the stencil over the grey panel and sponged over the stencil using Versamark watermark ink. I almost added some Perfect Pearls, but I'm glad I didn't. I just love the clean, tone-on-tone look of my background.
For the focal point of my card, I stamped an elegant orchid plant image from Orchid in a Pot using May's Shades of Pink, die cut it with coordinating frame cuts, and mounted it on the card front using foam tape. To give my background extra interest, I added some white splatters using Unicorn White Spray.
The sentiment from Many Everyday Messages was heat embossed using white embossing powder. To finish off my card, I added some sparkling clear sequins.
Do you think there are too many sequins on my card? It's always hard for me to find a perfect placement for my embellishments and I just couldn't stop adding them. ;)
