Paper Layering Castle

Hi, Friends!

It's Caly with you today and I'm sharing a card made using the new Paper Layering Castle die. This die is large and covers almost an entire A2-sized card - so it makes a really bold statement!

I die-cut my castle using Dove White cardstock, then cut its outline and began coloring it using Copic markers. My goal was to color it like the Disney castle - so I used blues and grays.

Copic colors used:
Browns: E41, E51, E53, E23, E35, E29,
Grays: W2, W3, W5, C1, C3, C6,
Greens: YG07, G03, G09,
Reds: R14, R29, Y32, Y38,
Blues: B21, B23, B37
When I was done coloring, I die-cut another outline panel in dark gray cardstock to back my colored-panel so that the windows appear dark to give the card more dimension. I ink-blended another white panel trimmed to 4"x5.25" to create a sky-color using Splash Reactive Ink. I then mounted my castle panel over that using foam adhesive, then finished by stamping the sentiment from the Dragons and Unicorns stamp set in the top right hand corner using Intense Black Ink.
I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I love it! Thanks!

Diane Backus,

That is such a beautiful card! I like that it looks so different from the example used on the product side. And both are great. Thank you for the tutorial.

Schmidenkiwi,

I really like the use of grey for the windows!

Marie T,

Such a beautiful card! :)

Karthikha Uday,

Beautiful card. The die is lovely but the sky and colors really make it pop!
