Peachy Birthday

Hello! Today I'm sharing a card using one of my new favorite crafting color combos - orange, pink, and tan! Of course, this combo may not appeal to everyone, but I think it looks downright tasty when used with the hero_product_link sku="CL950" text="Birthday Cake Layering stamp set."]

For today's card, I started out by embossing the cake, candles and platter images in hero_product_link sku="PW100" text="gold"] onto some watercolor cardstock. Just as a side note, if you want instant elegance for your card, just add some gold embossing. ;) I then hero_product_link sku="DI169" text="die cut them"], and moved on to coloring them.

I used some ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers to add my colors and create that yummy peach! I added a strip of orange on the bottom, and right above that, a strip of mid-pink, then blended it out with a light pink marker. If you don't have these markers, you could use your own favorite coloring medium, such as Copics, watercolors, or heck, even crayons!

Once I colored my images, I decided to add a little hero_product_link sku="PW105" text="clear sparkle embossing"] to the cakes for a little more interest. The rest of the card was pretty easy to put together- I adhered the images to a hero_product_link sku="PS610" text="white cardstock panel"], and adhered that to a hero_product_link sku="PS621" text="light orange card base"].

I stamped the bottom sentiment onto the white panel, then embossed the top sentiment onto a black strip, cut the side at a diagonal, and adhered that to the card base. Topped the card off with some pearls from the Sunshine Mixed Accents pack, and I was done!

This cake stamp set it so fun, but if the layering overwhelms you, we've got you covered with the cute hero_product_link sku="K6131" text="Fancy Birthday Cake..."]

This stamp would make for a faster card, and a little less bulky. Change up the colors of the cake to your favorite tasty-looking combo!

Thanks so much for stopping in today and God bless!
