Props Turnabout Shaker Cards

Hi, Friends! Hero Arts recently collaborated with Concord & 9th to create this special “Partners” Props Turnabout stamp set to celebrate Hero Art's 45th anniversary. It coordinates with the Rounded Rectangles Infinity Dies and creates such fun cards! We had a blog hop recently and you can see the post HERE. The Concord & 9th Turnabout Jig is also available at Hero Arts!

Today, I've made shaker cards using a few different Hero Arts Inks and I hope you'll like these fun and colorful cards!

I started out making just one and couldn't decide on the color combinations, so I ended up with three! All three cards are stamped using the following ink colors: Bubble Gum, Lemon Yellow, Tide Pool, Pool, and Passion Flower.

I created each panel by stamping one color at a time with each rotation in my MISTI. I love being able to stamp more than once to get a great impression. After stamping all my panels, I used the Rounded Rectangles Infinity Dies to cut out the windows on my cards that coordinate with the size of the solid stamp on this stamp set to create my shaker opening.

I stamped the window opening using the coordinating colors, then stamped my sentiments with a different color to draw interest. To help align these stamps in the windows perfectly, I put my card base in the MISTI, then the stamped card/window panel over it and aligned my stamp in the window opening before stamping.

After stamping the smaller hearts and stars, I added acetate and foam adhesive to the back of my window, then filled the solid stamp section on my card base with Icicles Sequin Mix. I carefully added my top window panel over the card base and sequins, arranging it to mat my card base and show the sentiment in the window to complete my shaker cards.

I hope you enjoyed this project! Have a fabulous day!!!
