Saturdays with Sally: Celebration Frames

Happy Spring, Passover, Easter, Coachella and Cora Traidman’s 7th Birthday weekend!!! That's a lot to celebrate! The Hero frames really come in handy and I thought I would try to use them in a way you might not have thought of.

By using Looking Glass Fine Art Frame on a diagonal it completely changes the look. I die cut it from Papaya cardstock, and put an Azalea mat inside of it by using the Square Infinity Dies. Use Handwritten Messages to stamp out the "hello" in black in the middle of the notecard. Then comes the fun part! Take a white note card and stamp the cherry from Color Layering Cherries in several light skin tones (Soft Pink, Soft Vanilla, Soft Brown & Soft Blossom) randomly across the page. If you don’t have that, use your thumb print! Next use the faces from Hero Lifestyle Faces and stamp in Black and AF208 Bubble Gum. Add some glasses and then take a fine black pen and add any eyes or lashes.

We make and use LOTS of banners at our house. I used Looking Glass Circle & Square Frames and cut many scraps of scrapbooking paper. This is easier than card stock because you need to make a fold and align the die just slightly below the fold so it stays folded and doesn’t cut into two pieces. Then find a coordinating color to glue in the middle. Use the Luggage Tag Alphabet Frame Cuts and spell out your greeting. Ours says "Happy Birthday"! Align all the parts and the take a cord or thread and glue it on the inside fold while inserting the middle layer. Add letters, hang it up and CELEBRATE!

HAPPY FESTIVE WEEKEND!!!

How to make a Polar Bear Christmas Card with Alcohol Markers

Hello, cardmaking friends! It’s Mona Tóth here, and I’m so happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog. Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...

Hello, crafty friend! I’m Adrienne Boese, better known online as Alice Scraps Wonderland. I love a good interactive scrapbook page! It can be something as simple as a pocket or something more intricate like a waterfall mechanism or flips. Today, we are going to focus on one of those simple techniques - a pocket!  It’s the perfect technique to dip your toes into the interactive...
