So Many Candles, So Little Cake

Hi, friends! It’s Caly and I’m here to share a fun birthday card with you today. I love the large message dies from Hero Arts and today’s card features the new Birthday Message Fancy Die.

To create a fun background, I used the Circle Confetti Fancy Die and cut it out from a white A2-sized card panel. To give it color underneath, I used new Lavender Cardstock. It’s such a beautiful shade of light purple. To create the ombre effect, I ink-blended the panel using Grape Juice and Soft Lilac ink, blending up from darkest to lightest and fading the ink to the color of the cardstock at the top.

After adhering the background panels together, I cut out a strip towards the bottom about 1 ½ inches to add a stamped panel of candles stamped from the Cheeky Birthday set. I stamped the images using Mint Julep, Soft Lilac, Lemon Yellow and Soft Vanilla inks. Then I stamped the sentiment on Pitch Black cardstock and embossed it with white detail embossing powder.

The Birthday Message Fancy Die is cut from purple glitter cardstock and again using black cardstock. I offset them a tad to help give the birthday word a shadow before adhering it over the circle confetti/ombre card panel and attaching the sentiment to finish.

I hope you all enjoyed this card and am wishing you a wonderful day!
