Stamping with Glimmer Metallic Inks

Hello and welcome to the Hero Arts blog! Janette here with you today to share a project I created featuring the new December add-on Fairy Window, Star Light Bold Prints and previously released Glimmer Metallic Inks.

I began by applying three horizontal strips of color onto my craft mat, white watercolor, Blue Glimmer Metallic and then Purple Glimmer Metallic. I picked up two colors at a time by rolling a brayer through them on the craft mat. Then I passed the brayer across the Star Light Bold Print several times for uniform coverage. I allowed the brayer to move slightly up and slightly back down to blend the two colors together on the surface of the stamp. After a quick wipe of the brayer, I repeated the steps with the other two colors.

I misted the stamp ever so lightly and then placed an A2 bristol panel over the top. Next, I placed scratch paper over the stamp to completely cover its surface. Then I applied pressure over the entire stamp to transfer the color to the paper. Flip stack over and remove stamp. While allowing the paper to dry, wash stamp and brayer with mild soap.

I die cut a white and a black Fairy Window with dry adhesive on the back. I applied liquid glue to the wings of the fairy, butterfly, and dragonfly. Then sprinkled on Snowfall Glitter and tapped off the excess. I adhered the white to the black Fairy Window offset, and then to the starry panel.

I trimmed the black overhanging the white frame at the top and right of the panel. Last, I adhered the white heat embossed Lucky Star sentiment and the completed panel to a card base. The background is gorgeous with its glimmer finish and the chunky glitter highlights the sweet fairy and friends. If you could only see it capture the light, magical!

Happy Crafting!

Stunning, I can’t wait to try this!

Tracy Bollinger,

Thank you for sharing your beautiful work!

Shannon Howell,

What a beautiful card! Too bad the photography doesn’t show off the glimmer.

Jean G.,

Love your card, I am not a fan of Fairies, but your card may just change that. The background is absolutely beautiful. with the Glimmer Metalic Ink. Breat work!

Karen Benedict,

Beautiful card as per usual! So glad you did another glimmer Metal ink project too. So beautiful
