Stamping with Glimmer Metallic Inks

Hi there crafty friends! It is Janette here today and I am sharing a fun technique with Hero's new Rose Gold Glimmer Metallic Ink. I am all for using my products in as many ways as I can to stretch my supplies and inspire creativity!

Begin by using the Rose Gold Metallic ink (sells in a 2 pack with a gorgeous shimmery white) in a more traditional way by misting smooth bristol paper with water and then dropping on a few drops. Move around in an organic fashion with a paint brush. Add a few drops of ArtPrint Brown Liquid Watercolor to add depth and give the panel a marble look. Repeat again for a second 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel. Perfection is not necessary! When these are die cut and used as a mat very little of the marble detail actually shows. This is definitely a technique we all look like we master, regardless of ability!

Once dry, die cut one marbled and one Pitch Black Nautilus. Adhere together, slightly offset, with liquid Precision Glue. Stamp Color Layering Moth in Intens-ified Black ink for the outline layer. Stamp layer two in Soft Pink ink and then again ink Rose Gold Metallic ink by applying it to the clear stamp with a brayer. The Rose Gold ink deepens the pink and adds a rich coating of shimmer and shine. Stamp the third layer in Soft Granite and the fourth again, alone, in Soft Pink. Stamp the outline layer once again to crisp up, if necessary. I like to leave my stamps set up in a MISTI or two until my project is complete.

Adhere layered Nautilus to a scant A2 Dove White cardstock panel. Stamp sentiment in Intens-ified Black and pop die cut moth in place with dimensional adhesive. Adhere finished panel to the extra marble panel and then to an Antique Ivory Folded Card to complete the project.

Thank you for spending a few minutes with me today. Pop back in tomorrow for more inspiration!
