The Swans! The Swans!

Did anybody else hear that in Barbra Streisand's voice in Funny Girl? I love that movie.

Hi there! Emily here with you today to share a project using the pretty Swans and Cattails stamp and die set from the most recent catalog. This set has so many pretty swans and scene-building pieces that it was difficult to choose which ones to use!

To start, I stamped two of the swans from Swans and Cattails using Unicorn White ink on some gray colored pencil paper, then die cut them using the coordinating Frame Cuts. I used my Polychromos pencils to do some no-line coloring on the swan die cuts.

After coloring the swans, I die cut the Bird Branches Fancy Die once from the same gray colored pencil paper, then twice more from white card stock. I used some green Polychromos to add some foliage to the gray die cut, then adhered all of the die cuts together to create a dimensional die cut. I also heat embossed the greeting from Swans and Cattails using Platinum Embossing Powder onto some white card stock, then hand cut a banner around the sentiment.

Once all of the pieces were assembled, I adhered them to the A2 card base using both dimensional and foam adhesive. As an afterthought, I added a bit of blue pencil beneath the swans so they didn't look as though they were floating in midair!

Well, that's all for me today! I hope you enjoyed the swans, the swans! (Sorry, Barbra Streisand made an appearance in my head again.) Hope you have a marvelous day!
