Video: Autumn Shaker Card with the September My Monthly Hero Kits

Hello friends!! It’s Channin here and in today’s video I’m creating a fall themed shaker card featuring the elements from the Classic and Premium September My Monthly Hero Kits.

Watch below or on the Hero Arts YouTube channel.

To create this card I first die cut an A2 panel of Sand cardstock with the Coordinating Fall Window Die ( Classic & Premium ). I then ink-blended over the die-cut panel with the included Coloring Layering Stencils ( Classic & Premium ) and several Core Inks. For stencil “a” I used Sand for the mushrooms and acorn and Spicy Mustard and Forever Green for the leaves. For stencil “b” I ink-blended the leaves in Spicy Mustard , Pumpkin and Cranberry and the leaf veins/stems, pinecone, mushrooms and acorn in Cup O’ Joe . For the last stencil, stencil “c” I ink-blended the mushroom tops and leaves in Cranberry and the remaining leaf veins/stems in Espresso .

Once I finished ink-blending with the stencils I ink-blended the corners of the panel with Sand . I then adhered the panel to a Clear Card Panel ( Classic & Premium ) with Precision Glue and set it aside.

Next, I die cut several leaves and mushrooms using the six Leaf Fancy Dies ( Premium ) out of Sand cardstock. I then ink-blended the die-cuts with Spicy Mustard , Pumpkin , Cranberry , Sand and Forever Green Core Inks.

Next, I created a well for my shaker card with foam adhesive onto the front of an A2 top-folding Dove White card base . I then filled the well with my ink-blended die cuts and sequins from the Champagne Sequin Mix . Next, I adhered the window panel to the card front. Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from the Fall Messages Stamp Set ( Classic & Premium ) in Embossing & Watermark Ink onto Pitch Black cardstock. I then poured gold embossing powder over, heat set, trimmed to a strip and then adhered to the card front with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed my card. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello, cardmaking friends! It’s Mona Tóth here, and I’m so happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog. Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...

Hello, crafty friend! I’m Adrienne Boese, better known online as Alice Scraps Wonderland. I love a good interactive scrapbook page! It can be something as simple as a pocket or something more intricate like a waterfall mechanism or flips. Today, we are going to focus on one of those simple techniques - a pocket!  It’s the perfect technique to dip your toes into the interactive...
