Video: Exploring Techniques with Decorative Tiles Stamps

Hi crafty friends! Charlene here. Today, I'm excited to share four unique card creations using the new Decorative Tiles stamps from Hero Arts. Each card showcases a different technique, highlighting the versatility of this stamp set.

But first, let's take a closer look at the process behind these creations. For a step-by-step visual guide, check out my video tutorial below:

If you are having trouble viewing this video, please watch HERE on YouTube.

For my first card, I stamped the Decorative Tiles in an ombré rainbow using the Spring Brights and Spring Day o mbré ink pads. The gradual color transition creates a beautiful, eye-catching effect. I trimmed the panel and matted it on a piece of Paradise cardstock to create a nice border. To finish the card, I added a word die and heat embossed sentiment from the Smile Friend Stamp & Cut XL , adding a touch of shine and dimension.

For my second card, I stamped the Decorative Tiles across the card panel on an angle in Intens-ified Black ink, creating a modern and graphic design. I then used red and orange alcohol markers to color in the white spaces of the tiles, adding a bold and vibrant touch. I trimmed down the panel and matted it on a piece of Pitch Black cardstock, which enhances the contrast and makes the colors pop. I stamped a sentiment using the Essential Messages Stamp & Cut XL , adding a simple yet effective message.

For my third card, I used the Decorative Tiles as silhouette stamps, creating a stunning background design. I first masked the edges of a card panel and then ink blended the center area using Azalea , Amethyst , and Periwinkle Core Inks, creating a soft and dreamy gradient. I removed the masking tape, then stamped the Decorative Tiles in Intens-ified Black ink, allowing the tiles to take center stage. I heat embossed a sentiment from the Essential Messages Stamp & Cut XL on Pitch Black cardstock and added it to the front with foam tape, adding depth and dimension.

For my fourth card, I stamped three rows of Decorative Tiles , each in a different ink color using Orchid , Fresh Lawn , and Deep Ocean Core Inks, creating a colorful and playful design. I then cut out the nine tiles using my paper trimmer, turning them into individual pieces. Using foam tape, I popped the tiles up in the shape of a rhombus on a piece of Granite cardstock, adding a fun and dimensional element. I added a word die and stamped a sentiment from the Smile Friend Stamp & Cut XL , completing the card with a cheerful message.

These four cards demonstrate the versatility of the Decorative Tiles stamps and the various techniques you can use to create unique and beautiful cards. Whether you're in the mood for colorful, bold, subtle, or dimensional designs, this stamp set has got you covered. I hope this inspires you to experiment with different techniques and make the most of your crafting supplies! Happy crafting!
