Video: Sunset Beach Scene with June 2023 My Monthly Hero Kits

Hello friends!! It’s Channin here and in today’s video I will create a dramatic sunset scene featuring the June My Monthly Hero Classic and Premium Kits. Watch to learn my tips and tricks for stamping seamless gradations and for step-by-step instructions for creating this bold beachy card.

Watch below or HERE on the Hero Arts YouTube channel.

To create this card I first stamped the base layer for the water in Lemon Drop , Taffy , Ultra Pink and Purple Galaxy inks onto an A2 panel of Deluxe Smooth White cardstock. I then stamped the second layer for the water in Taffy and Ultra Pink . Lastly, I finished up the ocean by stamping the highlight in Lemon Drop .

Next, I trimmed the panel along the horizon/waterline and then ink blended a gradation over the upper half of the panel in Splash , Blue Hawaii and Purple Galaxy inks. I then stamped the clouds onto the blended panel in the same three inks.

Next, I die cut a sun out of Deluxe Smooth White cardstock with the circle die included in the kit and then I ink blended it in Lemon Drop , Taffy and Ultra Pink inks. Next I colored the sand with a Copic marker and finished it with a Purple Galaxy blended gradation. I then stamped silhouetted woman image in Intens-ified Black Ink onto the sand/ocean panel.

Next I die cut an A2 panel of Pitch Black cardstock with the Beach Window Fancy Die included in the kit. I adhered the sky panel, then the sun, and lastly the ocean panel to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base . Next, I adhered the windowed panel to the card front with foam adhesive.

I stamped a sentiment in Embossing & Watermark Ink onto Pitch Black cardstock. I then poured Detail White Embossing Powder over, heat set, and die cut it out with the matching die. I finished the card by adhering the sentiment to the card front with Precision Glue .

I hope you enjoyed today’s cards and video! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello, cardmaking friends! It’s Mona Tóth here, and I’m so happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog. Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. It can be something as simple as a pocket or something more intricate like a waterfall mechanism or flips. Today, we are going to focus on one of those simple techniques - a pocket!  It’s the perfect technique to dip your toes into the interactive...
