Bright Butterfly

Hola everyone, Pocono Pam here! Today I am sharing a card using one of the new Delicate Butterfly Fancy Dies. I have also included the newly released Petal Burst Stencil from the Spring Catalog.

To create the card, use Unicorn Ink to stencil Petal Burst onto a 4" x 4" piece of Amethyst cardstock with a blending brush. Next, die-cut the cardstock with the third largest Nesting Heart Infinity Die. Die cut three additional Amethyst hearts; glue and stack with the stenciled heart on top. Doing this will give the heart nice dimension. Lightly spray the stacked heart with White Iridescent Shimmer Mist.

To continue, adhere the stacked die cut heart onto a white A2 card base. Next, die -cut the smallest butterfly in silver glitter paper. Remove the center of the butterfly and die-cut the shadow in vellum. Adhere the center of the silver glitter butterfly onto the vellum. Once dry, gently lift the wings for dimension and set aside.

To continue, die-cut "you" from Love You Stamp and Cut XL in Iris, Amethyst and Pitch Black. Glue, stack (slightly offset) and adhere to the stenciled heart.

Stamp sentiment from Love You Stamp and Cut XL in black ink onto white cardstock. Cut and trim. Adhere the silver glitter butterfly to the "y" and pop the sentiment on card base with foam squares.

To complete the card, add purple enamel dots.

I love the various layers of dimension on the card! I hope I have inspired you to give it a try. Thanks so very much for stopping by today. Enjoy the rest of your week!

How to make a Polar Bear Christmas Card with Alcohol Markers

Hello, cardmaking friends! It’s Mona Tóth here, and I’m so happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog. Today, I’m sharing a Christmas step-by-step card tutorial featuring the Polar Friends Stamp and Die Set by Simon Hurley. This card was inspired by the Christmas advertisements I remember seeing on television when I was a child in the 1990s. They often featured polar bears surrounded by...
