You’re a Koala-ty Friend!

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a card featuring the irresistible Color Layering Koala stamp set. This multi-step set includes an adorable koala image, along with her little one, and several fun, mixed font sentiments.

To create my card, I cut an oval from masking paper with one of the Nesting Oval Infinity Dies and then positioned the oval mask over the center of a trimmed, white cardstock panel. I used a foam applicator to apply Lime Green ink inside the oval mask. After removing the mask, I repeatedly stamped the “you’re a koala-ty friend!” sentiment, with Field Greens ink, randomly over the entire inked oval. Then, I die cut a smaller oval from the center of the stamped and inked area. After securing the cardstock panel to a celadon card, I aligned and secured the die cut oval to the card with foam tape.

Using Wet Cement and Charcoal inks from the Earth Neutrals Dye Cubes pack, plus Black ink, I stamped a koala and a baby koala. Although I fussy cut both images with scissors, using the coordinating Color Layering Koala Frame Cuts makes cutting these detailed images a breeze! I also stamped a single eucalyptus branch with Black and Field Greens inks and then nestled it into the hands of the koala by making a small slit with a craft knife. I secured the koalas to the foam-mounted oval. To finish the card, I embossed another sentiment onto black cardstock and added a trio of Ombre Green Sequins.

If you are smitten with the Color Layering Koala set, be sure to take a look at the Bamboo Bold Prints background and the Tropical Foliage Bold Prints background. Both stamps are beautiful and pair perfectly with the koala set! Have a wonderful, crafty week,
