You're a Work of Art!

Hello there, Michelle here today to share a card with you using the new Museum Columns Fancy Dies. These were released as part of the March 2022 My Monthly Hero release, which is all about art museums this month. So fun!

Museum Columns by Michelle Short for Hero Arts

I started off my card by die cutting two of the Museum Columns Fancy Dies from Dove White cardstock. I then coloured them using grey Copic markers, adding in shadows and vein details, to try and resemble marble.

I then took a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of Dove White cardstock and masked off the edges. Using Ink Blending Brushes, I first blended on a light layer of Thistle Reactive Ink, followed by Grape Slush Reactive Ink, focusing most of the colour towards the bottom right. To deepen it further, I added a layer of Purple Galaxy Reactive Ink, just in the bottom right hand corner.

The panel was adhered flat to a top folding notecard and then the columns added on top with thin foam tape. I stamped the sentiment from the new Art Meowseum set on to Pitch Black cardstock with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. They were cut down and added to the card with foam tape.

Although a lot of statues are made from stone, rather than marble, I quite like the effect of the marble texture! Thanks so much for stopping by today, wishing you a wonderful day!
