12 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar – Day 5 with Yana Smakula

Hello friends! I'm excited to explore Day 5 with you and some some inspiration with this fabulous stitching die. Day 5 is a beautiful snowflake die. I love the way this is designed, giving me several options. Watch video tutorial below or on our Youtube channel :
I die cut the snowflake shadow from Glacier cardstock and main snowflake part from white. My stitching was done using a combination of blue ombre thread and siver metallic, both included in the add-on kit.

12 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar – Day 5 with Yana Smakula

I used Brushed White cardstock from my stash, I die cut an oval shape using the Essential Arches die and foiled a sentiment in the bottom of the panel. The snowflake was foam mounted in the center and I added a foiled "Merry Christmas" across for a pop of red. Here are some close up images: For my second card I tried stretching the snowflake design to make it bigger. It was easy to do - I just added additional elements stitched in Gold thread.
