Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today sharing three projects using Nichol’s Needlework Collection. This collection features lots of dies that can be used to create faux embroidery. If you are not into embroidery and sewing, a lot of the dies can be used without the needlework elements as well and I have one project showing that today.
This collection is already very versatile but even better is that it can be used for so many occasions – everyday, Halloween, fall, autumn, Christmas and the holidays … plus lots more!
CHRISTMAS MAGIC
For my first card, I created a Christmas card using a lot of the needlework elements. I thought it would be perfect to send to a sewing friend!
To make this card:
For my next project, I thought I would create a Halloween tag. I don’t usually send Halloween cards, but I do often like to gift sweets/candy to friends and family and thought that a Halloween tag added to the bag would look cute!
To make this tag:
Not into Halloween? Remove the hat and change the sentiment, maybe add a few more pumpkins and this would work perfectly for fall/autumn/Thanksgiving too!
BIRTHDAY FLOWERS
For my last project, I wanted to create an everyday card, keeping it clean and simple.
To make this card:
This is such a wonderful collection and as you can see, you can use as many or as little of the needlework elements as you wish. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Create a bright, modern card while learning how to use the negative foil left behind after hot foiling. In this step-by-step tutorial, you’ll foil the detailed Windows with a View design, use a solid plate to reverse foil the remaining image, and turn selected windows into dimensional embellishments. An ink-blended striped background, BetterPress sentiment, and sparkling gems complete the design. This project is ideal for...
Give the Frank Garcia Christmas Blush Collection a contemporary twist with this clean and simple Christmas card. Learn how to assemble pastel ice skates, add winter foliage, and finish the design with a hot-foiled sentiment and silver gems.
