April 2022 Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Preview & Tutorials – Pop Up 3D Vignette Watering Can Bouquet

Instructions:

Catch step-by-step instructions below. Click photos to enlarge:

  • Cut out watering can body as noted. Cut spout pieces and handle as noted and assemble to front layer as shown. Cut out 3D Vignette pieces and set aside.
  • Eight (8) flowers were cut for this project (use as many or as few as you want). Fold the stem at the perforation and glue together to create a sturdier stem. Die cut the flowers with various tones of color and adhere layers together. Glue flower to the stem. followed by the leaves. varying their placement to create variety.
  • Slide flowers through the watering can opening on the front layer and 3 interior layers and adhere to the back of the watering can at various heights.
Tip: As you build each layer put them on top of one another to help determine placement of the flowers so they are at various heights and placement.
  • Fold 3D Vignette pieces on perforations and use adhesive or red line adhesive to the folded tabs. Attach one side of Vignette piece to back layer of watering can. Place 3 interior watering can layers into slots. Repeat with other side. Add front watering can last.
This can be flattened for mailing (padded envelope is recommended).

These are all really beautiful & I am having so much fun working with all of these beautiful dies. I wish you would explain how you added the pink color over the raised embossed image on the gingham watering can. I’ve tried, but it just becomes all muddy.
