Christmas Gnomes with Jyoti Adhikari

Hello crafty friends! This is Jyoti Adhikari here today sharing my love for gnomes and of course some cards I have created featuring Gnome for Christmas collection. This collection is full of varieties of stamps, dies, glimmer foil plates, and even an embossing folder. I get jubilant about creating cards with gnomes, so I ended up making three cards with, you guessed it, gnomes. Without any further babbling, let’s get to the cards.

WISHING YOU PEACE AND JOY/GNOME TREE CARD

This card features the Gnome Tree die set.

1. I started by die-cutting the gnomes. I used Spellbinders cardstocks to cut out pieces of the gnome tree.
2. I used Copic markers to create additional details to the die-cut pieces. Including Gnome beards, their hats, and the cute little pink nose. I also added some cast shadows on their clothes.
3. I added some highlights and patterns on the hats with a white gelly roll pen.
4. This set has a die that cuts a layer around the gnomes. I used white cardstock to cut that out.
5. Then I meticulously added all the pieces of the gnomes on the white layer.
6. Finally added my gnome tree on a black panel that was foiled using Starburst Glimmer Plate and Rainbow Hot Foil.
7. For the sentiment, I stamped and embossed a sentiment that says “wishing you peace and joy” This stamp is from Joyful Words Stamp set.

HOLLY JOLLY GNOMES CARD

This card features the Holly Jolly Gnome die set and the Twilight Sparkle Strip glimmer foil plate.

1. As always, I started by die-cutting the gnomes with spellbinders white cardstock.
2. Then I colored the gnome beards and hats with Copic Markers. I created two sets of three different colors/patterns.
3. I took a panel of Spellbinders white cardstock and foiled it using the Twilight Sparkle Strip glimmer foil and started ink blending with Peacock Feathers Distressed Oxide Ink, starting from the edges and fading in the center to white.
4. I die-cut the Holly Jolly with gold card-stock and the layer behind it with spellbinders Blue Spruce card-stock. They were then added together with Bearly Art Glue.
5. Then, I added the Holly Jolly with foam tape on the center and the gnomes around it in a fun radiating pattern.
6. As an embellishment, I added some gold pearls to the tips of their hats.

SWINGING GNOME CARD

This card features the Holly Jolly Gnome die set and the Twilight Sparkle strip glimmer foil plate.

This die creates an interactive feature to your card. The gnome and the ornament swing back and forth when you move the card.  I love when dies make it easy to create interactive cards so you don’t have to do the extra work.

1. I die-cut all the elements for this card using spellbinders cardstocks.
2. Like before, I added Copic details to my die-cuts.
3. After that, I started adhering the pieces together. I created an ornament that hangs from the bow by placing a small foam tape underneath so the string easily moves around the foam tape and the bow covers it.
4. I created a background by foiling a panel of Phone Booth cardstock with Twilight Sparkle Strip glimmer plate and gold foil.
5. Then I added the gnome on the ornament in a position as if it’s holding the string with its hand and swinging. Isn’t it fun?
6. I added a gold border die-cut and a gold pearl on the hat to finish this card.
